Grahame Davies and Menna Elfyn were the judges of the Dylan Thomas International Poetry Award that was presented by University of Wales Trinity St David to celebrate the poet's centenary.
'Harmony' was the set subject and the prize of £2,000 was won by Martin Willitts Jr, from New York for his composition "Daffodils".
Mr Willitts is a Quaker, organic gardener and retired librarian from Syracuse. His work has been published in numerous places, including by Cinnamon Press in Wales.
Grahame Davies was not able to be present at the awards ceremony due to family circumstances, and the adjudication was delivered on behalf of both judges by Menna Elfyn.
