Grahame Davies has provided the words for what The Scotsman newspaper is describing as one of the 14 cultural highlights for Scotland .  

'Huge crowds' are expected to take part in the celebration of the 700th anniversary of the signing of Scotland's most famous historic document, the Declaration of Arbroath.

The event will feature the premiere of a specially-commissioned new choral work by composer Paul Mealor, "Of Light Breaking", using words by Grahame Davies, which will be performed by a 300-strong choir in the ruins of the Abbey, where the declaration was signed in 1320

The premiere was due to take place on April 4th 2020, but has been postponed until 2021 because of coronavirus.
