Poems on public artworks

Poems by Grahame Davies have been used in several prestigious public art projects, including on the hoarding outside the Wales Millennium Centre, on Cardiff Central Library as part of the city's bid to be European Capital of Culture for 2008, and in a series of seven sculptures along the Taff Trail between Cardiff and Merthyr.

The sculptures were created by Nigel Talbot, and are made out of railway sleepers which have been shaped and burned. The lines from the poems have been set in cast iron and inlaid into a channel in the wood. They can be seen next to St John's Church in Cefn Coed y Cymer, Merthyr, near the cemetery at Aberfan, and at Abercynon.

The pictures below show the sculpture at Cefn Coed and the lettering on Cardiff Central Library.
