Poem is National Eisteddfod competition piece

Grahame Davies’s poem ‘Cadwyni Rhyddid’ (Chains of Freedom), the title poem from the 2001 collection of the same name, which won the Book of the Year award, was a set text for two competitions at this year’s National Eisteddfod of Wales in Cardiff. It was the text for the 12-16 solo recitation competition, and the over-21 cerdd dant duet. Video of the top three performances of the pieces can be seen here and here.
