10/07/2012 Five hundred voices for 'The Hero's Journey' A male choir of 500 voices drawn from the five continents was assembled by the London Welsh Male Voice Choir for a unique concert at the Royal Festival Hall on July 7, 2012. This concert saw the world premiere of 'The Hero's Journey', a work commissioned specially from Karl Jenkins with lyrics by Grahame Davies with accompaniment from world champions The Cory Band, conducted by Paul Bateman. The event was part of BrynFest, Bryn Terfel's celebration of Welsh heritage. Highlights from the concert were broadcast on S4C. |
